A successful photograph communicates a strong idea visually. In the portraits and fine art images, I strive to create images with "eye-time".  Eye-time is the magnetic attraction that causes the eye and brain to linger over the simplicity combined with intricacy of the lines, colors, shapes, moments and emotions in a photo.  Your eyes explore and your mind savors details in an image with eye-time.
Artwork and product photography has the challenge of presenting the work as if the viewer is looking at the original and not a photograph.  It is one of the most technically demanding kinds of photography.  It also allows me to experience many other forms of art and meet many artists and entrepreneurs.
With event photography, I specialize in storytelling with a documentary passion.  The images culminate in albums that have custom designed layouts that reflect the spirit of the celebration.
Documentary and science photography includes the titles, Triops - a very unusual creature, Little Science Books, 2009 and Look, Ask & Learn About Butterflies, Little Science Books, 2010.  Both are available at www.littlesciencebooks.com or Amazon.com
